Kidz Express is launching its own blog, with films of daily life at the Center, postings by the Kidz and information on what’s happening at Kidz Express this summer.  Stop by and see what Kidz are creating, doing and enjoying.

Kidz Express will have a special day on June 18 to review report cards and celebrate the end of another year of learning.  Stop by with your report card to join in the celebration.

Our first day of our summer program will be June 17th.  Registration is limited to the first 45 Kidz who sign up.  Registration forms can be obtained from 3 to 6 p.m. on June 15 and 16 at the Center.

Kidz Express is proud to congratulate another class of mentors and alumni who will be graduating high school this month.  Many of them will be heading to college.  We will miss them but are proud to see them begin this new chapter in their lives.

The summer program will begin in late June this year.  Registration forms will be available soon.

Kidz Express kicks off the new year with programs beginning January 4th.  After a small holiday hiatus, our regular schedule commences.  Kidz Express wishes all of our friends, families and supporters a joyous and blessed 2010.

Kidz Express gratefully acknowledges a grant awarded by the Lutheran Services for Children Endowment.   This award, covering a span of three years, will allow Kidz Express to move forward with faith and confidence in expanding our partnership initiatives.  This grant provides opportunities to increase the spectrum of services provided to our Kidz and thereby expand our operations within our Center, both in content and in program hours.  Thanks to Lutheran Services for Children for valuing our Kidz and enabling us to make their world a better place.

For the second year, Springboard Foundation awarded Kidz Express a most generous grant to fund our GED program and other facets of our weekly schedule.  We greatly appreciate and are so thankful for the confidence Springboard has placed in us and for their support of our efforts to grow in our commitment and service to our community. 

Kidz Express regular program begins September 8th with our after school program opening at 4 p.m.  Please pick up registration materials on Saturday, August 29th, at 10 a.m. or during the regular program hours.  ALL Kidz must have a registration on file in order to participate.

Literacy Chicago will be partnering with Kidz Express to begin the GED program in September.  The program will begin with testing of all participants.  Classes are tentatively scheduled for Saturdays and Mondays.  Registration is limited and almost full so interested individuals should contact Val via our website contact.
